Ingredients :
- 1 Pie Crust
- 3 Tbsp. Packed Brown Sugar
- 2 Tbsp. Flour
- 1 tsp. Apple Pie Spice
- 6 Cups Peeled-Thinly Sliced Pears (6 Medium)
- 1/2 Cup Maple Syrup
- 1 Egg, Lightly Beaten
- 1 Tbsp. Water
- Caramel Topping
Method :
- Place pie crust into pie dish and preheat oven to 375°F
- In large bowl, stir together brown sugar, flour, and apple pie spice.
- Add pears and toss gently to coat.
- Transfer to pie crust and drizzle with maple syrup.
- Trim pastry even with plate rim, place top crust and crimp edges.
- In small bowl, combine egg and water, brush crust with mixture.
- Tent pie with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake 25-30 minutes or until pears are tender and filling is bubbly.
- Let cool on wire rack and top with caramel topping.
